This is a titanium replacement tip for DynaVap stems and bodies. At about 3.3 g, it is DynaVap's lightest tip.

How it heats

The Helix has three convection ports, small openings that let hot air pass through, so the herb is warmed by moving air rather than a hot surface. Machined channels inside give a triple helix airflow, three spiral paths. Less metal, and more surface area where fins would be, means less heat passes to the stem. Thicker chamber walls spread the heat evenly and leave fewer hot spots. It heats up and cools down quickly.

It is heated with a torch aimed near the tip of the cap, and the cap clicks when it reaches temperature.

The gold-coloured chamber is a surface finish DynaVap developed to make the titanium more durable and scratch-resistant. Adjust-a-Bowl lets you move the CCD screen to set the chamber to full or half size.
