This is the original replacement cap for a standard DynaVap tip. The tip is the end of a DynaVap that you heat, and the cap is the part that tells you when the heating is done.

What it does

The cap clicks when it reaches heating temperature, then clicks again as it cools, so you know it is ready for another heating cycle. There are no batteries. The heat comes from a torch (a small flame you hold to the tip) or a compatible induction heater (an electric heater you use instead of a flame).

It is a friction-fit cap, which means it holds on with a snug push-on grip. It also carries a built-in digger-outter, a little tool for clearing out spent material.

Fits

  • Standard DynaVap tips, including the M7 Tip, M Plus Tip, Helix Tip and Halo Tip

It is not for HyperDyn tips, which have a larger diameter. If you want side indents holding the cap on, that is the Captive Cap instead.

Care

A double click while heating or cooling can be normal. If the cap feels loose, squeeze it gently to adjust the fit. With a torch, turn the device as you heat it, and wait for the cool-down click before you heat again. Use a Decapper or a magnet to handle a hot cap.
