I'll mainly compare this with my previous vape the Xmax Starry 4, $150.
At first I preferred my Starry for it's small size and portability over the Angus Enhanced but decided to keep giving it a go.
The vapour is much smoother than the Starry 4 as I believe this product uses convection instead of conduction. I would say the bowl size is a tad bigger in the Starry 4, maybe 0.3-0.4g when packed to the brim compared to AE's 0.25g.
The battery usage is roughly the same for the two devices - around 60 minutes, maybe slightly longer for the Angus Enhanced but that 100W bulb uses a lot of energy so make sure to get high capacity 18650 batteries. To remove the batteries you have to take off plastic covers that clips over and covers the batteries which feels unnecessarily fiddly given that we already fiddle with many things when using vapes - cleaning tools, dosing capsules, batteries, mouthpieces, etc
The mouthpiece feels hotter when using the Starry's Zirconia mouthpiece compared to the AE glass stem.
1 con I have against the AE is that there is a battery that needs to be faced down with the positive side, alternate from the other battery and it always trips me up as I forget about it, If it is placed incorrectly it will NOT turn on. When a person wants to medicate and or is tired you don't really want to check which way your battery is facing, a little nuisance; more so when the sign is melded in the same colour as the black body requiring you to turn the light on to see the contours.
It just depends if you prefer the style and think it's worth it. When compared to the small sleek portable vapes out there like Starry 4 / V3 Pro at less than half the price, it's hard to justify as those things do 80-90% of the job. But if you want to upgrade your experience with a cheaper alternative to the Mighty / Crafty stuff, then it's a good option.
I'd suggest for future iterations to make the body SMALLER so that it can be pocketed easier but I guess they've gone for the medical patient as the target audience in having something that is wieldy, on standby near your desk and reminiscent of the Storz & Bickel Mighty / Craft lineup.
I researched A LOT before selecting the Angus AE. It is simply the best vape I have used (including friends S&B Mightys). Very straighforward to use, superior cloud and taste (esp with 7mm terp pearls in stem) There has been a lot of thought go into this product by the manufacturer. The extras and bits that come with it are excellent and practical. The sidecar bubbler is a little weapon! I bought the Puha Pack and in terms of bang for buck pretty sure you wouldn't be able to beat this. Finally - the customer service and assistance from the Puha Express folk is second to none. Thoroughly satisfied in all respects and consdier ot better that the Mighty series. Get one.
